From email: First, I would like to ask about the motor's enable pin { 8,7 28, 29}. It seems to function as an output to activate the motor, but it does not appear to be directly connected to a specific pin number on the motor itself. Could you please explain how this pin is used?

Pins 7, 8, 28, and 29 were used in an old approach for enabling motors which is no longer utilized. Enabling the motors (for the CubeMars series, not the Maxon motors) happens through the CAN bus. Those pins still have code assigned to them but are no longer connected to anything through the PCB. As such, they can be repurposed.
